Service Record

Dirksen Engineering has been registered with the Texas Board of Professional Engineers since 2005. Since founding, Dirksen Engineering has provided quality consulting service in Southwest and West Texas from Castroville to Fort Stockton to Eagle Pass to Cotulla. The focus of the consulting effort is land development and municipal design. However, Dirksen Engineering always makes time to provide consulting services to the general public to address a wide range of situations involving flood plain elevations, drainage, building inspections for real estate transactions and more.

Equipment

Dirksen Engineering provides drafting design using current Autocad and Carlson software for drafting and civil design.

Surveying Equipment used is Trimble GPS antennas, receivers and software and Leica total stations.

ABOUT

Kenneth R. Dirksen, P.E., R.P.L.S. has been registered as a Professional Engineer in the State of Texas since 1997. Ken began his career with Chicago Bridge and Iron, Co. in 1989 as a field engineer in industrial construction. Ken joined TxDOT in 1997 as a Transportation Engineer at the Uvalde Sub-Area Office. After supervising design and construction at the Uvalde Sub-Area Office for several years, Ken left TxDOT in 2007 to concentrate on a career as an independent consultant. Ken mentored land surveying under D.G. Smyth, R.P.L.S., L.S.L.S. from 1997 to 2011 and was licensed as a Registered Professional Land Surveyor in July 2011.

Staff includes four highly trained technicians with up to 20+ years experience in field work and drafting.
